Places to eat in Glasgow
Some of the restaurants i have tried in Glasgow...along with a brief description

McDonald...the first restaurant i went to when i reached Glasgow. Just like any other McDonalds, but they do serve some additional burgers which cannot be found in Malaysia. Price range around 3-4 pounds for a meal

Chukoku is the first buffet I went to in Glasgow. The food there are not really nice. Furthermore the food there are pretty salty. The pro is that they have lots of varieties. Almost 40 different dishes. Basically quantity but little quality. Not worth going. Pricing ranges from 7-10 pounds.

TGIF in glasgow is expensive but the food there is okay, I guess. When i went, the portion of the meal i ordered was very small! Okay to go for the experience I guess. With the buy-2-for-1 voucher, a meal would cost around 10 pounds.

Peking Court, along Sauchiehall Street is the best chinese restaurant so far, in my opinion. Excellent food but with quality, comes $$$...hehehe. Around 10-20 pounds per person depending on the number of dishes ordered.

Waxy O'Connors's crock of mussels comes with quantity and quality. A recommended place to mussel lovers. Price ranges from 8-10 pounds

Bombay Blue serves Indian style buffet. Not a bad place to try. Around 10 pounds per person.

Counting House is one of my favourites. A bar restaurant which serves western style cuisine, with different special themes at different days, eg. chinese food day, curry day etc and many different cocktails. The western platter is the best! Approximately 5 pounds per person. Cheap and nice!

Europa is similar to counting house minus the western platter. With Snapfax, the price is around 6 pounds per person.

King's Lodge is the nicest chinese buffet so far in Glasgow. They serve prawns, mussels, peking duck, fish, char siew, and many other nice foods. 7-10 pounds per person.

Mussel Inn's crock of mussels is less than Waxy O'Connor's but they taste nicer and of course, they are costlier. They serve mostly mussels and scallops of different varieties. Around 8-12 pounds per person.

Bar Soba serves asian fusion food but the dishes there are not nice. Haha. With Snapfax, it costs around 5 pounds per person.
I've been to more restaurants but then sometimes i forget to bring along my camera...hehe...and if you're observant, you'll notice that my hair length grows with every picture. |
